As of 1st August 2012, Dr Turki Al Rasheed has been appointed Visiting Research Fellow at Liverpool Business School, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), UK.
LJMU is one of the top 100 new universities (under 50 years old) in the world, and has an outstanding international reputation for its research, being one of the leading research-active contemporary universities in the UK .
The Liverpool Business School has been in existence for nearly 40 years. Its research areas are both wide and dynamic, and are supported by dedicated and knowledgeable staff. Its Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) programme “is designed to validate the competence in professional practice of people working in business and management related areas at the highest academic level”.
Dr Al Rasheed gained his DBA from LBS in 2011, using his vast knowledge of and interest in agricultural sustainability in developing countries to produce his thesis, which has since been turned into a successful book – Agricultural Development Strategies: the Saudi Experience.
Dr Al Rasheed’ s 30 years’ experience in the business world in Saudi Arabia coupled with his research interests will enable him to make a positive contribution to LBS, which will include teaching duties and supervision of postgraduate students.
