to organize food security conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>AN international conference on Food Security in Dry Lands (FSDL) will be held in Doha, Qatar on Nov. 14-15, 2012 focusing on three thematic areas \u2014 food security, water \u2014 resource, demand and management \u2014 and responsible investment in farmlands.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Dr. Turki Faisal Al Rasheed, Chairman of Golden Grass, Inc., will be joining a panel of decision makers, academics, scientists, and experts from food security, water management and agriculture, to discuss \u201c<strong>Responsible and Sustainable Foreign Direct Investment in Land and Water Resources\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Al Rasheed will be making a presentation during a roundtable discussion about \u201cFood Security in the Middle East and the role of private capital\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The conference is being held under the auspices of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Qatar National Food Security Program (QNFSP) Executive Chairman Fahad bin Mohammed Al Attiya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The presentation and discussions, which will be held at Qatar University, will include ministerial level dialogue, and at the end of conference there will be a Doha Declaration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Ten international organizations \u2014 World Bank, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), UNESCO, International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA), Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), Kings College London, Qatar Foundation (QF), Qatar University (QU), and Georgetown University Qatar are involved in the conference. \u2014
