Dr. Turki Al-Faisal Al-Rasheed will be a feature speaker on symposium on Arab scientific research and joint management of disasters on emerging and non-emerging crises. The symposium is a Virtual webinar via zoom at 1:00 pm Tuesday (11 August 2020) Saudi Arabia time.
Dr. Al Rasheed will speak about the “Crisis and Disaster Management Strategy Post-Covid 19‘. Organized by the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALESCO) in cooperation the General Secretariat of the Arab league
Scientific research is considered the optimal framework that provides societies with effective solutions in managing the problems that arise within them, and thus it is considered the best means to anticipate disasters and emerging and non-emerging crises, and to provide strategic solutions to manage these crises.
The symposium will review various experiences from inside and outside of the Arab world, for the most effective strategies in managing disasters and crises at all levels in the service of Arab societies.
The symposium program begins with an opening speech by: His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ould Omar, Director General of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALESCO). It will be followed by the speech of His Excellency Chancellor Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Arab League
The symposium will be moderated by: Prof. Fawzi bin Draidi, Professor of Sociology, Souk Ahras University, Algeria
